Minister Mervyn Griffith, Jr. specializes in gospel music, but has extensive background in jazz, classical along with other music genre. Minister Mervyn holds a Pentecostal faith belief according to the word of God and God’s Holy Bible. He believes Holiness and Happiness in Jesus is possible.
With his musical ministry, Minister Mervyn is available for private lessons. He conducts private lessons for voice, piano, organ, and keyboard along with teachings on theory. Drums/congas lessons are limited at this time to your own instruments. With the declining of the appreciation of arts in our public schools, here is another opportunity for parents to widen their children’s’ horizons by providing additional opportunities in the music of life.
Minister Mervyn is available to teach music theory as an ala carte selection; this entails an overview of music history with reading and writing music for songs. Minister Mervyn takes his musical life seriously while yet showing the fun side of music, he is currently teaching his own son to expand his musical abilities even farther with lessons and teachings. All musical instrument lessons include music theory on the instrument selected along with learning to read the music associated with the instrument. All sessions provided on site of your home, church, or at the residence of Minister Mervyn, with the exclusion of the drums/congas.
Minister Mervyn is also a songwriter, composer, performer, and currently working on his own gospel recording. With the background in gospel, jazz, reggae, and other Caribbean genres, the styles of Minister Merv are like water flowing deep under the sea, one minute you are here, but the next minute you are transported to yet another wonderful destination in music. He is available for any special events playing either gospel or jazz music according to the taste of the event. Minister Merv is an accomplished singer, composer, pianist and artist who is available for recordings of others along with song writing and collaborations in music.
All ages are accepted, but it is best if the child can recognize letters and numbers first. Minister Mervyn is the man of music with many talents available for you.
