03/10/10 Good Morning 03/10/2010
John 20: 24-28 24But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God. Praise the Lord and Good Morning!! It is an awesome day in the Lord for we are blessed in Him…there is no other way to live our lives and we must continue to know that HE is with us always. I just love the word of the Lord for what the word of the Lord does for us. We all should remember the story of “Doubting Thomas” especially the awesome words of Jesus that comes from this story about those of us who have never seen Him and yet believe….yet there is more to this story…. Thomas was a ‘see it to believe it person’ and most of us are still like that today. We go through the motions of being a Christian just out of habit but yet – Jesus is real and answering us every day. I love to take note that just what Thomas said he needed before he believed – Jesus in His awesome ways provided for Him. He gave Thomas the opportunity to do just what he said he needed to do so that he believed it was Jesus. Yet Jesus still does the same for us…when we doubt or are unsure – if we keep our eyes, heart and ears open – He will show up and show us why we need to hold onto our faith and belief…we can trust in Jesus for He shall never fail us! God Bless! Horns on the Altar – Part 1
Luke 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. Praise the Lord and Good morning…it is so awesome to read AND listen to the word of the Lord. Sometimes listening to the word of the Lord just makes what some things jump out more than ever before. The enemy is going to keep coming back to you – this is true – we know this but how often do we remember that the enemy kept at it with Jesus also. The word says that after the 40 days of temptation, the devil ended all the temptation (which we only read of 3 temptations but we better believe that all the temptation was for 40 days, not just three times) YET the key part also of that scripture is he departed from him for a season… Let us look at this – he left from him for a season – was the season until it was time to die, or was the season for a few days…I believe He (Jesus) was tempted most of His ministry and overcame it all. Okay look at all that is being said in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John – the “religious” people were always after Him . . . questioning Him, angering Him. Yes He did get angry. . . BUT think on this . . . Jesus was in the flesh but He reacted in the Spirit of the Lord! How awesome is that . . . when you really stop to think about it – ALL THAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH – HE HAS BEEN THROUGH!! Hallelujah Jesus – He is worthy… Never feel as if you are alone – know that you are not alone and He is with you always! God bless and enjoy your blessed day in Jesus! Love you all! 03/08/10 Good Morning 03/07/2010
Mark 4:9-12 9And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 10And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. Good Morning! Praise the Lord the day is a beautiful day because Jesus woke you up this day and has blessed you with walking in Him yet another day. How awesome is that? Jesus is real and truly keeping His people in Him. Those that know the Lord will know what His word is saying. . . . sometimes we will read the word of the Lord and not have an understanding of what is being said, which means we need to pray and keep our mind on Jesus as we are reading His word. Yet just as Jesus revealed to His disciples the true meaning of what He was saying in parables, if we sit at His feet, He will do the same for us. Yes we cannot literally sit at His feet, but we can sit and talk with Him. Our fellowship with eth Lord is a very necessary one in Him, it will bring us to the truth of all things and bring clarity to His words. We have to understand that in Jesus we are blessed to know that He is the way, the truth and the Life, but to have this understanding we need to know His words - my sisters and brothers - please stay in His word, please be in prayer - where you spend eternity depends on it. God bless 03/05/10 Good Morning 03/04/2010
Matthew 16:7-12 7And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. 8Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? 9Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? 10Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? 11How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? 12Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. Praise the Lord – Good Morning – Good Morning – Good Morning! Jesus had to remind the disciples whom He was as he was walking with them and still they were still not understanding all His speaking BUT once He died and rose again – they were very fervent in spreading the word of the Lord to all those they meet. We are still the same, for some reason knowing that Jesus died and rose again is not enough to get some of excited, we will send out doubt and speak negative into our lives, we do not seek to understand the words of the Lord BUT when Jesus shows up in our lives answering all our prayers and taking care of something that we never thought possible- we begin to ‘get the message’ and run on to tell the world. Some of us have not come to that point where we find a strong desire to share the word of the Lord with all those that we meet…do not give up keep striving and looking to Jesus – there were some who walked with the Lord and took a minute to get it, so it might be the same with you – but my sister and brother – do not let it take too long for He is returning. Sometimes we beat ourselves up over trying to walk this walk, making mistakes along the way – the wonderful Apostles did the same and we have to remember that it is Jesus that keeps us – keep looking up and remember a life of holiness is the way to live our lives and as long as your focus is on Jesus, you shall make it to the end. Yet again please forgive me for not having Bible Trivia this day as I have been preparing for Holiness – Honesty Week with WL4J that I have not had a chance to really type up the new trivia…Lord willing we will be back on track next week. . . If you would like to keep up with Holiness Honesty Week as to what we are putting out there – feel free to join us (if you are a sister) at WL4J Social Community – www.womenliving4jesus.ning.com and if you are a brother in Christ – you can check it out at www.therealtruthofalissalynne.com/myblog.html as I will post there what I post on the site – sorry you will miss out on the discussions in the women’s group but that is okay – you can talk with Jesus! AMEN! Enjoy your weekend! God Bless! 03/04/10 Good Morning 03/04/2010
Romans 8:8-10 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Praise the Lord! Good Morning and welcome to a day full of love and happiness in Jesus! It is in Him that we are blessed and we live a life of abundance. We have abundance of joy and happiness waiting for us today - keep your focus on Jesus so that you can receive all that He has for you this day! All right now, there is so much that the scriptures above says that I cannot expound on all of it in this Good Morning but I challenge you to really meditate on these words this day and apply them to your life. In line with yesterday, we are to separate ourselves from the world for the desires of the world is to please our flesh but we cannot please God in our flesh. There is nothing good in our flesh for in our flesh is the sins of man. Yet when you are filled with the Holy spirit of the Lord, you are walking around with the spirit of Jesus in you and this is what separates you from the world. The Holy Spirit will speak to you about things that are not pleasing to God and tell you when you are out of line with the Lord - IF you allow yourself to hear what God is saying and quench not the Spirit of the Lord. When you stop and thinking about it, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and the Holy Spirit is Jesus in the spirit living in you....so everywhere you go you have Jesus with you...so this is a time to realize as your mouth opens to be negative that Jesus is with you....feel the Holy Spirit in you rise up and change the way the words that come out of your mouth. When you are walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh, people can say things and you will respond with the love of Jesus...let us walk in the Spirit of God that dwells inside for without the Spirit of Christ, you are not His child. . . think about that - are you truly walking in the Spirit of the Lord - are you filled with His Holy Spirit and if so - how do you know? 03/03/10 Good Morning 03/02/2010
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Good Morning – Good Morning – Praise the Lord we made it to yet another day in the Lord! How awesome is that!! He is so worthy of all our praise! He is worthy and we are blessed! In walking this walk, a lot of times we allow ourselves excuses as to why we can’t do things or tell ourselves it is too hard. . . .some times we need to give ourselves some ‘tough love’ from the word of the Lord. . . . This is what today is....to live a life of holiness - we have to separate ourselves from the things of old and the world. We cannot allow ourselves to be consumed with the things that the world has to offer for our treasure is not here on earth and earth is not our home. For those that love the Lord, our home is with Jesus. We allow ourselves to get so preoccupied with things that will not benefit our walk in the Lord, yet occupy our minds such as our jobs and our financial status, wanting to be married and always wanting the best of the best. . . not that these things are bad to desire but it is when it consumes what you do and whom you are. . . So each day we awake, we need to not conform to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind in the will of the Lord for in Jesus we have eternal life but in this world is eternal death. Let us remember that we are here to serve the Lord and in doing so - we must live a life of holiness! 03-02-10 Good Morning 03/01/2010
Romans 12:1-3 1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service Good Morning!! Good Morning!! Today is an awesome day in the Lord! It is a blessing to be in this day and to know that Jesus is keeping us and knowing that we will always be in the safety of His arms. In continuation of Holiness Week with the Good Morning inspiration...it is our reasonable service to serve the Lord with our lives by living for Him...presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice and giving all we have to Jesus. It is Jesus that we must live, we can not live holy without Him and the dwelling of the Holy Spirit. It is imperative to live our lives according to His direction and that is holiness. . . we are to be righteous and live righteously. Righteousness (Bible Dictionary) Also called justification by faith. Theology. the act of God whereby humankind is made or accounted just, or free from guilt or penalty of sin. This is really something when you think about it...read that definition of the word...are you ready to shout and thank God for His mighty ways and how He has made us free from guilt and the penalty of sin... So we should present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God which is YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE! Praise the Lord - I hear ya Jesus - praise His name...do you hear what Jesus is saying? Have a blessed and wonderful day in the Lord! 03/01/10 Good Morning 03/01/2010
I Peter 1:13-16 13Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. Praise the Lord – a new day of a new month! Good morning!!!! It is really not easy being in the Lord but in Jesus we can do all things... Welcome to Holiness week....this week is the time to look within ourselves and see the realness within ourselves and allow the Lord to speak to us so that we live our lives according to His word. It is truly in the Lord that our thoughts and mind should be focused on. When our minds are focused on Jesus - we can live a life pleasing to Him and live a life of holiness. It is not about being about what everyone else is about, it is about being separated and living a life according to the word of the Lord. We know that God is with us, let us rely on that and not on ourselves so that we rid ourselves from things that are full of self desire and focus on the Lord. God is calling on a holy people....are you living a life of holiness? (more tomorrow) God bless and know that Jesus loves you! House of Worship Bible Trivia Answers:
02/26/10 Good Morning 02/26/2010
Praise the Lord and Good morning to you! How awesome is our God! He is so worthy of our praise and so worthy of all the glory. It is Friday and a blessed day it is for we are alive and in the land of the living. I am taking this time today to share with you the entire chapter of Colossians. As I was doing my study on the book of Revelation, I was referred to this chapter and so much of the chapter was singing to me, I could not pick out any specific scripture as I just felt it all needs read….please take the time to really get into the word and what is being said in this chapter . . . may the grace and peace of the Lord reign in your life today and every day – and guess what – it will if you keep your focus on Jesus! Colossians Chapter 1 1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, 2To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, 4Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, 5For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; 6Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: 7As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; 8Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit. 9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 21And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; 24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: 25Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: 29Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. Daniel 7:13-14 13I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Good Morning to you! Praise the Lord for His mighty blessings of life today! So many times we are going through but we need to wake up in the morning with our hearts open to Jesus and shut to flesh…your day will go 100% better if you have praise for the Lord on your lips through out the day! It is awesome when you read the word of the Lord and receive the words that God has for us so that we will continue to hold onto God’s unchanging hand. The prophecy of Daniel, such a powerful reminder of what is yet to come. . . The best part is that His kingdom shall not be destroyed…in a time where everything is old is getting torn down and some new building is in its place, we are going to be with the Lord one day and that will never be taken away from us. The kingdom of God shall never be destroyed. Jesus has the dominion, glory, and the kingdom – we shall all serve Him in His wonderful dominion for ever and ever. . . how awesome is that? Come on now – I know you have a praise for the Lord – don’t look at what you are facing in your life right now – look at what the Lord has brought you through already and see that He is making a difference in all aspects of life. . . look up and not down for He is coming back and He will come on a cloud from above – look to Jesus for all things!
