Praise the Lord!!! Today’s is Blog Action Day 2008, so that is what The Truth of Alissa Lynne is going to be about. The topic this year is Global Poverty. Jesus has the answer to Global Poverty…His word tells us how to handle this situation…

John 13:34-35 34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.  35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Matthew 25:34-40  34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:  36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.  37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?  38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?  39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?  40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  I should be able to stop there just from that. If we are true Christians, if we truly do what the word of God says…we would be giving, caring and sharing. We would give until we could give no more. We would not look to our needs but look to the needs of others.

Some of us have got so far back into the thinking of the world about me, me, me and me some more. The sins have overshadowed the good, there are tons of hungry people in this world, yet only a few people are trying to make a difference. What is the deal with that?

How hard is it to help someone else? I know this is global poverty, but right here in the US…you may have a neighbor who is hungry and doing without food because of their situation. Sure they went to the food banks, but still need meat, still need some serious food for their 5 children, yet no one helps them. If you are there for your neighbors, get to know people the suffering of others will be revealed to you. You have to reach out to others and allow the Lord to show you who to be a blessing to.

It only takes one person to make a difference and if each of us reach out and make a difference in just one person’s life in this manner, we will see that global poverty will no longer be around. If we would take the time to do what the word of God says to do, to love each other as He loves us...there would be no pain and hurt.

Jesus knew that the sins of this world would make it so this is what happens in this world, so He came and set a perfect example. If we say we love the Lord, then we need to do what His word says and love all those around us, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, visit those in jail, reach out to the entire world as He did and we will see a difference in this world. If just those that say they know the Lord and stop thinking about doctrine, stop thinking about who is right and who is wrong about the bible and love and reach out…what a difference it will make! Will you make the difference? Will you make a change today to make a difference? Are you one who walks past a homeless person with no compassion or are you afraid of them? Compassion is needed; love is needed…give to them as the Lord gives to you! He is blessing you…come on and be a blessing.

The Truth of Alissa Lynne – I used to be selfish….I thought of no one and nothing but my own things. I did not want to give anyone anything…but the Lord changed all of that. I do not care what it is, I will do my best to help anyone at all. If I have it, it is yours. We have to have this mentality if we are going to live for Jesus…Jesus is the one who gave it to us in the first place. He will replace it and return it beyond our wildest imagination. I love the way I feel when I help someone else…I feel more love and closer to the Lord. I will go to my grave giving all that I have to someone! I think that scares my hubby, LOL, I have given bill money away to a sister or brother in need, never thinking twice about it, yet the Lord comes through…I step out on faith…anyone going to join me?

We have to stop worrying about us all the time, the Lord has us covered, we need to bless others and do what His word says. Let us make a difference today…starting today…give to someone just because they need it or maybe just because…watch how you will feel afterwards…it is a blessing to be a blessing! AMEN!!

Help make a difference and end global poverty by reaching inside of you and allow the words of the Lord shine in you to be a giver unto all those that you meet.

Have a blessed day and until tomorrow God Bless,
Love your sister in Christ,
Sister Alissa Lynne
